In these carnivals I had so much fun I attended to the most known events of it including Lectura del Bando, Coronacion, Guacherna, and Batalla de Flores Parade, where i danced dressed as a marimonda with my friends. It was awesome! I hope that the next carnivals will be as good or better than these!!

MULKAVISION: Two Worlds Collide

Standard

Read http://mulkatime.blogspot.com/2012/01/two-worlds-collide.html about an American man teaching English in Uganda.

1. What different points of view do we see in this story?

The different lives of both characters are clearly two different points of view of that we can identify in the story.  Just by mentioning that one character has the privilege to use running water to make coffee and the other has to carry plastic cans to provide himself with it show the enormous difference between their worlds.  They style and quality of life in this case is the main factor that guides each character with a different point of view in life.  This is the product of living the good and bad consequences of life experience which in this case is very different.  We as readers may have different s perspective of the story like for example this is a typical story of a poor black man and a rich white guy or that we could say that the story is just simply about a guy who didn’t had a chance in live to progress and the other one had; this perspectives we can find many but for the characters we can only find their different point of view which are strictly influenced by their living world.

2. Explain the reasons behind the miscommunication that occurred between these two men.

We can easily say that the main reason that miscommunicated these two men was the vast different style of life. Thanks to that main raison we can observe many leaks od pieces in the story where they both miss communicated or at least one of them didn’t approve or understand what the other was doing. All of this product of living totally different lives since the beginning so I may say that is obvious that in the moment of an encounter there will be some factors that won’t let this two character live along or have any kind of relationship with upsetting one another.
